Aubrey Peeples
Aubrey Peeples has been an American actress and performer for more than 20 years. She was awarded the best actress award for her roles in Nashville The 2012 drama, in which she played Layla Grant. She also was awarded the prize in Sharknado 2013, where she played Claudia Shepard. She also played the main role Jerrica Jem Betnton on the movie Jem and the Holograms (2005). Aubrey Peeples grew up in Lake Mary Florida by parents Wendy and Ashley. Her older sister is Ally. Aubrey spent ten seasons performing in Orlando Repertory Theatre. The valedictory speech she delivered was that of her class at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University was willing to admit her. However, she turned down the invitation twice. The second time was because she wanted to play in Nashville. Peeples appeared in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and also had an recurring role on Necessary Roughness (1991). She was in television movies Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009), and The Good Mother. She played a significant character in Layla Grant on the Nashville Drama series in its second season. Peeples disclosed that she suffers from bipolar disorder during an interview in 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire named Peeples at the end of September as among America's best young actors.
